I have to share this with you.
When Steve and I went to Pa. to visit our family, my "sister"-friend Bridgette, offered to watch Bella. I went to go get her when we got home, and found her son Dusty was visiting. He is a very talented young man, and sketches so well. I saw his journal opened on the table and peeked at it. I commented when I saw this drawing, and Bridgette said "do you know who that is" ummm, no! And she told me it was Bella. I thought it was hysterical. His inspiration was that Bella is "large and in charge" at heart...so he put her in a suit.
I will add her photo first...so you can see how well he captured her spirit. (even down to her pouty lip)
I hope this made you smile, I know I did...
Thanks Dusty, for allowing me to share your amazing talent.

journals, time for a break
So, this weekend I am finishing up on journals, I have had a good run with them, but I am tired of them, lol. I have the need for messy paint...so I will clean this up, and get to the painting and canvas's. I need to fill my Etsy shop up, it is so neglected... So these are listed and I breath a sigh of relief!
Here is a peek...
Enjoy a wonderful Sunday...

pushing past ...a fear
This is not something that I do easily. Journal...I told myself today I would try, just try...I wouldn't die from it...and guess what? I didn't...
I found myself this afternoon with a lot of thoughts in my head, "living in my head" I call it. When I desire to live from my heart... I am learning to do so...I have the knowledge of things to do/try...to push past the fear, stress, anxiety... I have learned many tools to use, practicing my soul work. Some of them come easily for me, some I haven't tried...I have taken art journaling classes, it didn't feel right to me, It was like trying to write in a different language.
But I must try...
Guilt is what gets me most of the time...so I faced it first.
The art was/is simple...I wasn't looking to make a beautiful page, I was just looking to make a page. I did!
So tonight instead of all of the racing thoughts, I can say I did what I could, to lessen them.
"she did it anyway"

RESOLUTION: TO JOURNAL
This is another resolution I have tried to get into the practice through out the years, but this year....I am trying again. I like the idea of journaling but sometimes I do not know what to journal about. My anxiety causes racing thoughts and sometimes they are hard to 'filter" through. I was looking for a Gratitude journal, but came up empty...so I make myself a journal to use.
This is a photograph of my maternal grandma and her sister. I love this photo...and I like the way the journal turned out. While I was out shopping yesterday I came across a gratitude journal that I loved. the pages were in a list form and them the other page for your own words, it was 24.00 and the cover was not what I wanted. So what to do? I took a pic of the page and I created a bookmark for MY journal with the prompts on it.
These are great thought provoking questions, or prompts. I am so happy I found this book, if not to buy...to borrow the idea of it. Happy journaling~
