Paranormal? I like to think so...

So I bought a new camera, and I really want to get into photograph.  I have had a few cameras, but have had my Sony Cyber-Shot for years.  This is my go to camera and I use it for Etsy.  The photos indoors and in low light have always been horrible and grainy.  I have noticed my friend Lesley, has BEAUTIFUL photos (ok, most of this is her talent, *wink*) but she shared what camera she owns, and I bought it!  So far, I love it...In the US, it was Panasonic Lumix ZS8.
So I went to one of my favorite old cemetery's near my home.  It was a beautiful day, and peaceful and I just snapped away...
I came home to download the photos, and I was thrilled to find this...
(Some of you will remember, I love ghost books, and really the paranormal, anything related...)

I loved this particular crypt, it wasn't grand or ornate...but the patina on the outside was intriguing to me.  So I took a photo, and then I zoomed in a bit to get a closer shot of the staining and years of the elements.
As you can see, the purple spot is gone on this next, closer shot.  It may be nothing...but I find it thrilling.  I like to think of it as a spirit that was lingering...and interested in being seen...  So what do you think?
Here are a few of my favorite photos of that day...

  1. Fascinating! I have no idea why some people can firmly believe in the afterlife and have such difficulty accepting that spirits could or would choose to present themselves to the mortal world. Sounds perfectly plausible to me.

Your photos are magnificent, by the way! Very professional looking!

  2. Kathy...I love the old angel statues that are found in cemetaries...you've taken some lovely pictures of those. Love the little "ghost" that showed up in the first picture. You don't have to convince me, I'm already a believer!

  3. Kathy....

What an interesting catch. You know I love this kind of thing so much! All the photos are beautiful. Wish the cemeteries here in my neck of the woods had that much ornate character.

  4. We have almost the same camera. Mine is a Panasonic Lumix FZ28. Love mine and I can see your are enjoying getting to know yours.

Amazing what you can "capture" with a new camera!!! lol!!! New or old camera, you still would have had that spirit show up in the photograph. Spooky yes, but kind of cool at the same time!

  5. Wow look at these lovely photos. I love to visit graveyards - they are such peaceful places to be still and think. One of my favourites is Highgate Cemetery in London - full of gothic gorgeousness - haven't been for a while....
So glad you are enjoying your camera Kathy. It is such a user friendly one - keep it in your bag at all times!!!!!

  6. Kathy the image you captured looks like it is sitting right on the top of the crypt looking down at you. Oh I do love these things myself and I have told you of many experiences I have encountered along with some of my relatives. I honestly think that you have to be open to all this to be able to experience it. You have to be looking for the signs......love your pictures! xo
