food tip....

Have you heard of this apple?
Have you tried them?  And what did you think?
I think the might be the best apple ever.  I find these in the South, around Oct 1st or so, and the season is not a long one, so you enjoy them for a short period of time.  But you will enjoy them...
They are so juicy, I mean really juicy.  And sweet...just yummy.  They are pricey, but if you see them and you have not tried them, please do!  You will be happy...
The biggest downside to me, is the size of them, they are huge.  I can only eat half, so I save the rest for another time...but you have to trim off a bit.  I have heard Sam's Club, has them in bags and they are smaller...
mmmm, yummy!

  1. I hadn't really heard about honeycrisps until this year and then it was you that turned me on to trying them...I actually went out looking for them and not all the stores here carry them. I was so happy when I saw them and bought 3...you are right, they are huge! But they are the ultimate in apple heaven!!!

  2. Yes they are the best apple, I have known about them for a couple years now. They even make juice from them. I have so many apples from our orchard that I am eating. The one that is the best is the Yellow Delicious. I don't like the store bought ones but these in my orchard are just awesome. They remind me of the Honey Crisp.

  4. I haven't come across this apple before - it must be native to the US. I am not generally an apple lover but give me a large, crisp, juicy pink lady apple and I am in heaven.
