Just a few.
I tend to be so excited to go, then get a bit bored...and this one had a crowd.
It was a yard sale in the town of Abita Springs, La. The whole town...many cars, many children, crowded streets...and it got hot! See where I am going here?
But I did manage to find a few things...

silver over copper coffee/tea set |

pretty framed mirror, perfect in my upstairs hallway |

no idea what I will do with it yet, but it made me smile! |

will look old in no time... |
This little town is full of unique things. Quaint houses, fancy architecture and lots of charm. I plan a trip to take photos soon. On a nice day, without humidity... It is right down the road, and filled with things to photograph.
In the meantime I will show you this...

the best gates, ever... |
Perfect treasures you found! I would have bought that framed poem with the village ladies too! The town sounds like visual candy without a huge yard sale!!
ReplyDeleteLove the finds...especially the mirror. How cute! As for that foot stool looking old in no time, I believe you. Having seen what you did with that old end table (and having seen how great it looks in person) I can't wait to see what you do with this.
ReplyDeleteLove that gate...an arachniphob's nightmare!!!!
Fab finds and a fab photo! Wish we could take our cameras out together. I'd like to see those steps once you've worked your magic.
ReplyDeleteHi dear Kathy! Thank you so much for visiting me and for your sweet comment! How wonderful to meet someone that is from Louisiana too! I am about 30 miles from Shreveport! Your blog is lovely! I am so happy you found so many pretties and that the humidity was low! That is a rarity for us, isn't it? The town sounds wonderful! I love places like that! Have you ever been to Jefferson, Texas? I love the sweet cottage and the gate. Really neat! xo~ Paula
