trying to remember...

"Do not linger in the future, because anxieties sprout up like mushrooms when you wander there"
Sarah Young

Yesterday I let myself have a pitiful day.  I knew what was happening but chose to stay upon my pity pot...last night and this morning when  woke up, I reflected the day and realized what I already knew... I was NOT dealing!  So today I am picking myself up and doing the work I know I need to do and getting on with things.  I read a devotion and (ok peeked at tomorrows) and found the words above.  A clear reminder to stay in this moment...

  1. I just spit out coffee...the message is to NOT linger in the future...and you peeked ahead and found this quote. Yes Missy, this is a "clear" reminder to stay in the moment!!

As for the pity pot...every now and then we are all going to sit on that. It's life. But what is most important is the realization that we are on it and then we get off it. We are reminded while we get that "ring around the bottom" that nothing is served by sitting there...it's getting up, moving, taking action that works. So yes, you realized that...to me that's the most important thing of all!! ♥

  3. It was subliminal messaging Kathy -- if you had "thought" about it, you wouldn't have said it...but it needed to be said because it was so "true"....you know, Your Truths.... LOL!!!!

  6. I think that when we sit on our pitty pot if we know that is what we are doing, then that is half the battle. I think it has been hard for you getting back in the groove since you have been away and you are experiencing many feelings because you also would like to be back with your parents helping them....you are torn. It will happen, just give it time. xo
