finally, after trying almost every product sold...I will share my secret.
Well, some of YOU have shared the secret. ScentSationals... I found them at Hobby Lobby.

 I have the tea light warmers...

I have the outlet lamps...

 This is really an awesome product, I am thrilled with the results.  I had a few people leave me a comment to try this, so glad I asked.  I do enjoy candles, and burn them often, but the fragrance goes out with the flame most of the time. And I have been know to forget to blow them out too, not good!
I found mine at Hobby Lobby as I said, but I see online you can find them at Walmart as well?  So you might check there too if you are interested.  Now I am using Pumpkin Spice and Warm Brown Sugar...  try them!

air freshner rant

So all I am seeking is a yummy smelling house. With 3 dogs I am always sniffing when I come in, and thinking can I smell dog?.  Most of the time no, I don't .  But then I think am I just used to the "aroma"?  My dogs are clean and I vacuum like a mad woman...but still...
So I try,

and while the candle is my favorite and most lasting to me...only while lit.  And there is my problem..I fear not blowing a candle out, or leaving the house with a candle burning (I have done it...)
So lately, I have searched and purchased many products promising a nice fresh smelling home.  Not so much...
I find the Yankee oils that you plug in to be the top runner, but they are empty way to soon.  I buy the cones, and they dry up quickly...and not so much fragrance.  The only products I do not have much experience in, are the reeds and oils. 
So my friends, I ask you.  What do you find the best, and what do you buy?

even my surroundings...are changing

This weekend was surprisingly spent, PURGING.  I know... what???  Now we have lived with many treasures surrounding us in our home, for many years.  In fact, it sort of looked like an antique/vintage shop.  And I loved it, and hubby...put up with it.  But you know what, recently I felt suffocated by it.  And I have been knowing this for a long time, it was dusty, too dusty.  I have a good many primitives and cloth type things...you seem to never get them dusted completely.  And when there are too many items, well, my dust cloth kind of just went around....things.
So fast forward to now, and I am not liking this cluttered feeling anymore.  And the primitives just aren't my taste now, I am wanting a much more simplified home.  And so it is...
I just wish I had taken before photos, I was moving to quickly...and didn't think of it.
But here is an example of an old cabinet in my dining room.  

This is where my collection of Union Cases was displayed.  Now these are not going anywhere, but will be packed away...right now, not something I want displayed.  You know, I had a visitor once tell me that she "sensed" a dark, heavy feeling coming from this case...really? I can see that, all these dead folks I do not know, living in my house with me... (but can I tell you, she was a bit crazy...)

I like the after, it is a work in progress.  Looking for just the right things to put in there.  Ahhhhh....
