faith

Faith begins by believing in your heart that what is right has a chance. Faith is knowing in your heart that good can overcome evil, that the sun can shine in a rainstorm. Faith is peaceful and comforting, because it comes from within where no one can invade your private dreams. Faith is not something you can demand or command; it is a result of commitment to belief. Faith is believing in something you can't see or hear, something deep inside that only you understand and control. Faith is trusting in yourself enough to know that no matter how things turn out, you will make the best of them.

a new day....

What a hard, hard day yesterday.  I am so happy Steve was on his way home, so we could mourn our little man together.  I don't know that I have ever cried so much, I guess I did, when we lost Dakota, Rocky's best buddy.  My hope is that Dakota was happily waiting for his little comical friend, as he crossed this bridge.
I don't think I can ever talk about the details of Rocky's passing, that is the hardest part for me, to put that part out of my mind.  I had my good friend with me, and I am so grateful for that.  Now I am trying to get past looking for him, and waiting for him to come when the others do...Cisco also had a hard day, he looked for him and continues to. He had "tummy problems", I so understand that!  So I am waiting for those things to fade, I know it will take time.
One day at a time...

faith

Faith is trust, hope and belief in the goodness, trustworthiness or reliability of a person, concept or entity.

So, these days I find myself struggling with fears.  Not faith, I think my faith is strong, or is it?
While browsing in a book store, looking for a book from Joyce Meyer...I found myself flipping through pages and found this quote in a book.
"Feed your fears and your faith will starve"
I really did relate to those words, that is exactly how I am feeling...I am doing that.
I am learning, to live without as many fears, but as I see some changes with my parents, and they are so far from me...well some days the fears and what-ifs just feel like they will swallow me.  I worry about them so much, and I TRY to stay in the moment and the here and now and not project forward.  It is better...but I am still practicing this, and looking for guidance as to how to achieve it.  I know it must come from within...

Another group of words I saw hit me this weekend, they are:
"I am not be where I want to be, but I am not where I once was either"... so true.
