I have had acrylics on and off for years, oh the money I have spent for nails. As an artist, they were fabulous, easy clean up and nothing stuck on them.
Then I decided no more, and have had my natural nails for about a year I guess...maybe longer.
Now I like them short and rounder...but always painted. Problem, it never lasts. Even the Sally Hansen Complete, boasts long wear...but in about 3-4 days, chips start.
So a friend told me about the shellac, and I am so happy. Nothing sticks...they do last 2 weeks. It is a bit pricey, about 25.00 here in Louisiana. It is not damaging to your nails, they say and I see no problems yet.
So I thought I would share the proof... a messy art day.

I will admit to getting bored with the color after a week or so, I am very picky with my nails...
These sound great...with the exception of getting bored with the colour after a week. If you like change and trying new colours, or changing depending on your mood, it's a bit pricey to change. But the polish certainly does last a long time.
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy,
ReplyDeleteI never heard of shellac--I've had acrylics for 1,000 years! lol I'm going to ask the woman who does my nails about shellac...this sounds awesome.
I hope that you had a Merry Christmas and wishing you a Happy New Year!!
XO
Cindy
I have heard of these, but have not yet tried them, I had acrylics for 15 years, but decided no more since I always had my hands in paint. This looks promising!
