a new day....

What a hard, hard day yesterday.  I am so happy Steve was on his way home, so we could mourn our little man together.  I don't know that I have ever cried so much, I guess I did, when we lost Dakota, Rocky's best buddy.  My hope is that Dakota was happily waiting for his little comical friend, as he crossed this bridge.
I don't think I can ever talk about the details of Rocky's passing, that is the hardest part for me, to put that part out of my mind.  I had my good friend with me, and I am so grateful for that.  Now I am trying to get past looking for him, and waiting for him to come when the others do...Cisco also had a hard day, he looked for him and continues to. He had "tummy problems", I so understand that!  So I am waiting for those things to fade, I know it will take time.
One day at a time...

  1. This process takes time, and it is never easy. You know, you have been there before. All of us who have lost a pet (member of our family) knows what you are feeling. I am glad to see you expressing yourself in words, this is good. Just know some of us are grieving right along with you because we care a lot about you, and we are also thinking about our special ones that crossed over that rainbow bridge. So glad that Steve is there and you are together. Love to both of you....xoxo

  2. Yes, the others will miss their friend dearly, as you and Steve are. It will get better, but never go away totally, as Debbie said, nor would you want his memory to.

Nothing we can say but we've all been there, know what you're going through and how hard you're suffering right now. Time my love, time.

    XOXO, Linda

  3. Oh Kathy, I am deeply sorry for your loss, I know how it feels and it is really hard. Just let yourself grieve and cry, yes just let it all out.
    God bless.
