today I hit a wall...

And without a word, my friend must have known.  An unanswered call didn't put her off like I might have silently hoped, another soon came and then the dreaded threat...I am coming over....lol!  At first I just unloaded and had a good cry...she let me just talk, and talk, and cry.  And then the words of support came (I knew they would)  I really just thought I wanted to be alone with my thoughts..I didn't want to go to lunch, my head was pounding and I just wanted to go to bed, and sit upon my "pity pot"...till I got a huge red mark on my butt....but guess what? She didn't buy it... So we compromised and she came to see me with a Sonic diet Cherry Limeade and I realized what a special friend I have.  So grateful...and now it is my turn, another friend is hurting and away from home and worried for her mother who she flew to be with...I will call her...it is what we do.

  1. It IS what we do...sometimes we don't realize exactly what we need until a friend appears and then we realize that no matter the kind of day we are having a friend will always make it better.

And I have this amazing visual of you with a big red mark on your butt from sitting on your pitty pot! LOL!!!

  2. from my friend Debbie...
True friends are very important to have, I have found that out in many ways. These friends become so important to us, they become our family of friends. I think about my life and wonder what I would do without my friends, I would be lost. The most powerful force in life is "LOVE". That is what I feel for so many of my friends. A friend close to me sent me an email and these words were part of the email.

Life ends; when you stop Dreaming,
Hope ends; when you stop Believing,
Love ends; when you stop Caring,
And Friendship ends; when you stop Sharing...!!!

  3. Whatever is going on in your life...let friends help you get thru it...I have been in that deep dark hole before, trying to dig myself out with no success...and guess what...friends dug me out... Tiffany

  4. Yes it is what we do, and the greatest challenge sometimes is to be gracious enough to receive instead of give. It is essential and a blessing. Just as we love to give to others, they, in turn, love to give to us.
    Thinking of you.

  5. How nice to hear...that is the best feeling in the world when a friend knows just what to do...whether it be listen, talk or bring us that Diet Coke. :-)

Girlfriends are a breed all their own...purebred in my opinion.

ps...thanks for stopping by my blog the other day and for the lovely comment.
