HAPPY THANKSGIVING

"To speak gratitude is courteous and pleasant, to enact gratitude is generous and noble, but to live gratitude is to touch Heaven." ~Johannes A. Gaertner

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my family and friends!  Sometimes I down play the holiday's after all of the years of being away from home, with Steve's work schedule...I have desensitized myself I think.  But this Thanksgiving has so much meaning to me.  I have learned many lessons and much strength this last end of 2010.

My sweet mom and dad, mom had open heart surgery this past August and she has done so well...I was able to spend time there with dad...and then see mom through the beginning of her re-hab, priceless moments.  I am so proud of her for working so hard, knowing she has many challenges.

And then there is this guy, my hubby and best friend.  He had unexpected open heart surgery just 4 weeks ago.  Never have I been more afraid in my life.  He is always "my rock" and there for me and when this happened to him, I didn't think I could cope.  But cope I did, with God's help!  That is my biggest lesson to date, turn it over to God...and you will find your way.  I am open to learn more lessons like this... Steve is doing great, getting stronger everyday, he is not happy with his restrictions and is so bored to stay at home and not drive...But he is also learning tolerance, and I am proud of him as well.

So all in all, a very thankful girl I am.  To ALL of you reading this, Happy Thanksgiving.
