Then I finally got around to creating something with the baby booties I picked up in Pa. while home for the holidays. I love making assemblages from the little shoes, these were no exception. The softness and wear on these shoes, just touches my heart. I know, I know...some are thinking....WHY! Just because I guess.

And finally, here I have an altered box. This is the sweetest little wooden box. Again, many years of use on this box...it beckoned for some more attention. I left the top simple and then used the inside to tell the story. I used the lid to the silver jewel box I broke...(lol) and then used a coveted tin type. For the inside. It is called "time rushes by".
To top it off, we had wonderful weather in La. this weekend. Bright blue skies and cool breezes...just perfect weather. To bad it will not last long. Soon will be hot and humid once again. I enjoy these treats when we have them.
fun fun pieces! You have been busy

you know, i got several vintage baby shoes at an estate sale and have been racking my brain as to how in the world i was going to embellish them. your idea is a great idea.
ReplyDeletehow would you feel if i used it as a jumping off place for my shoes? meaning, they may resemble yours but they would be "mine" with my touch.
